All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been declared the winner of Rivers State in the Saturday, February 25 Presidential and National Assembly election.
Tinubu, polled a total of 231,593 votes to defeat Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) who polled a total of 175,555 votes.
According to Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) results from 21 local government areas had earlier put LP’s Obi in lead but when the results from two other local governments, one of them being Wike’s Obio-Akpor, were later received and imputed, the figures changed drastically in favour of Tinubu.
