Senator Rochas Okorocha has appeared before the Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led Presidential Screening Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator Okorocha appeared before the committee on Tuesday, May 31.
Recall that the former Imo State Governor had almost missed the screening after he was arrested and detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He is being tried on a 17-count charge to the tune of N2.9 billion filed against him by the EFCC.
Okorocha is also accused of conspiring with others, including a member of the APC and five companies to steal from public coffe.
He was however granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja to the tune of N500million with one surety in like sum, thus making it possible for him to beat the deadline for the APC presidential screening.
