The Octopus News has been reliably informed that Hon. Alex Ifeanyi Mascot Ikwechegh has written an apology letter to Stephen Abuwatseya, the Bolt driver who he assaulted.
Recall that Abuwatseya was supposed to drop a package containing snails at Hon. Ikwechegh’s house in Abuja, however, the politician insisted that the driver bring the package inside his house at night.
Upon the driver’s insistence that he be paid for his services, the member representing Aba North/South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives assaulted the delivery driver and threatened to make him disappear without consequences.
In a video that has gone viral online, the lawmaker was spotted berating the delivery driver and repeatedly asking “Do you know who I am?” before slapping him twice.
Subsequently, Abuwatseya reported the assault to the Maitama police division of the Abuja Police Command who arrested Hon. Ikwechegh and brought him in for questioning.
Information reaching wwww.theoctopusnews.com this morning is that a peace pact is what is on the table, as Hon. Ikwechegh has been asked to write an apology letter to Abuwatseya.
