Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Media Aide, Reacts To Suspension

Wale Ajetunmobi, the suspended media aide of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has reacted to the announcement of his suspension.
Recall that Ajetunmobi, the Senior Special Assistant on Print Media to Sanwo-Olu was suspended after his tweet of Saturday, November 23, stated that arsonists who torched the head office of Television Continental (TVC) in Ketu, Lagos during the #EndSARS protest in 2020 were “hunted and executed.”
He was subsequently suspended by the Governor for misinterpreting facts.

Following his suspension, Ajetunmobi described the situation as a misinterpretation of his comment. He added that he was quoted out of context, adding that the word “Executed”which he used in his tweet was in error.
He took to X to write: “My only and final response to this misrepresentation…
“This excerpt was quoted out of context and there were a series of comments made under the same post, which better explained what was intended.
“Like I did further explained under the said tweet, no extra-judicial killing was insinuated. The word “executed” was erroneously used and not intended in the context of that casual conversation.
“What was written in the entire conversation reflected personal opinion and not the position of any authority or the entity in which I work.
“The post and other comments had been taken down, even before this publication.”
