News Ibadan Stampede: Nigerians React To Video Of Prophetess Naomi’s Crying Mother Published 2 days ago on December 26, 2024 By The Octopus News Admin Nigerians have reacted with mixed feelings to a viral video of the mother of Prophetess Naomi Ogunseyi, the ex-wife of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. In the video, the woman cried out to Nigerians to help her daughter who is currently facing charges over the death of 35 children at a funfair she had in Ibadan, Oyo State last week. Recall that a Chief Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Tuesday, December 24, ordered the remand of Naomi and two others in connection with the stampede at Bashorun Islamic High School. Naomi sponsored a children fun fair in Ibadan that sadly ended in a stampede leaving 35 children dead. In a video shared on social media, the distraught mother of Prophetess Naomi appealed to Nigerians to come to her daughter’s aide. ‘’Please help me! It was good my daughter went to Ibadan to do. It is not today that she has been conducting such programmes. She has been doing it for over ten years now. She goes about doing good to children, the elderly and even pregnant women. I empathize with you all that lost your children. “Please people come to my aid! Do not allow them throw Naomi into the prison. Please have mercy on me! Please help to make them free Noami my child. She came to do good. She is very innocent! Very innocent! Please help me! Please help me free my child. She does not know anything!” The mother of the Prophetess noted that the stampede took place at about 6.30am, hours before the funfair was to start. She said Naomi and the other defendants were taken to court ‘secretly’ and that one of the counts against her is murder. ‘’My child is not a k!ller. She was only trying to help.” Meanwhile, reactions have been pouring in from Nigerians. “The lesson from this is never help Nigerians. If you value your peace and respect your family, steer clear of helping a people that do not appreciate kindness. Nigeria will throw you in prison for making a mistake when you only wanted to help. The police is a mess. The courts are a mess. The criminal justice system is a total mess. Many Nigerians love their leaders who treat them worse that the military or colonial rulers,” was one of the opinions shared anonymously. Another person described Naomi as a fake Prophetess. He wrote: “She is a fake prophetess though… even though we know she meant well.” “Why prophetess no foresee the stampede before e happen, as she dey tek foresee other people problems. Mad people everywhere”, another wrote. “Na Ooni head catch am, silly girl wey wan bring down amf humiliated a whole Onirisa, on top wetin? Rot in that prison and receive sense inside there. Awon obinrin jatijati!,’ an anonymous comment read. JayCee wrote “It’s quite a sad situation. On one hand, someone needs to be arrested and made to pay price- we must place sanctity on human life in Nigeria. Sadly, that rests with the ‘organisers’ of the events. Gone are the days of just organising things without due process and making sure every thing is done…. On the other hand however, there is blame to the economic situation and everything else- she was not even there at 6:30 am so how could she be to blame. Sad situation all around – deep condolences to those who lost their lives and their kids- cannot imagine they had any Xmas in their homes today. Shame.” Taofeek wrote: “I feel for the Lady….. sometimes doing good in Nigeria sef na Big risk” Post Views: 186 Related Topics:Bashorun Islamic High School.Ibadan StampedeIbadan Stampede: Nigerians React To Video Of Prophetess Naomi's Crying MotherNaomi OgunseyiProphetess Silekunola Naomi Don't Miss $35million Fraud: Court Remands Akindele Akintoye In Kuje Prison You may like Click to comment Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
