The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has invited the duo of Wahab and Raheem Okoya.

The invitation is not isolated from a viral Naira abuse video which surfaced online recently.

Recall that www.theoctopusnews.com had reported how Nigerians had called for the prosecution of the duo in the same manner crossdresser Idris Okuneye popular as Bobrisky was treated. Bobrisky spent six months in Ikoyo Prison for the same offence.

A notice from Michael Wetkas, Acting Director of the Lagos Directorate of the EFCC said that the brothers are to meet with the head of the Special Operations Team at the EFCC office located at 15A Awolowo Road, Lagos, by 10 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025.

It would be recalled that the Okoya brothers were captured abusing the Naira in a promotional video for a new song titled “Credit Alert”.

In the video, Wahab and Raheem were seen dressed in white agbada outfits and flaunting stacks of crisp N1000 notes to promote the song.

The video, also showed a police officer holding wads of N1,000 notes while the brothers danced to a tune.

The video put the EFCC on the hotspot as Nigerians on social media speculated if the EFCC would do anything to the boys.
