There might be serious trouble brewing for self-acclaimed social activist, Martins Vincent Otse popular as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
This follows a week long ultimatum given to him by the South-South Zonal chapter of the APC to apologize to the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio.
In a statement by the APC South-South Zonal Organising Secretary, Blessing Agbomhere.VDM is accused of disparaging Akpabio, in his latest video that went viral.
Recall that VDM had released a video in which he called Akpabio’s trip to the Vatican “shameful,” saying he should have instead visited states like Benue, Plateau, Kwara, Ogun, and Enugu, where many people have been killed recently.
Reacting, Agbomhere said, “VeryDarkMan is becoming notorious for blackmail, slander and character assassination while pretending to be an advocate for the masses and social crusader.”
Agbomhere explained that Akpabio did not send himself to Rome but was asked by President Bola Tinubu to lead a five-man delegation to represent Nigeria at the funeral of Pope
Here stated, “Being a devout Catholic and family man with unblemished character, President Tinubu saw in Akpabio a worthy ambassador of Nigeria to such an event as the Pope’s funeral and wasted no time in thrusting that responsibility on him. What is wrong with that?”
He warned, “I am, with this statement, issuing VeryDarkMan a one-week ultimatum to immediately tender an unreserved apology to the Senate president for the slanderous comments and to desist from further bringing the integrity of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration into disrepute in the eyes of the global community.”
Agbomhere also urged Nigerians to ignore what he called the “uninformed ranting” of VDM.
