Friends celebrate with Funke Akindele

Multi-award winning actress, Funke Akindele, turned 36 on Saturday, August 24.

To celebrate the lady, friends and colleagues threw a surprise birthday party for her at D’ Place Lekki, Lagos State.

The colourful affair had in attendance family members and topnotch celebrities like Tiwa Savage, Uche Jombo, Kate Henshaw, Eniola Badmus and Kaffy to mention a few.

The event took the lady by surprise, as she took to her Blackberry the following morning to thank her friends who celebrated with her.

In a broadcast, the actress said: “Morning my dear friends, thank you so much for the messages, prayers, gifts, and above all, the surprise party you all got me, may the good Lord bless you all. I felt so loved and appreciated, love you all.”

This would be the first time the lady would be spotted celebrating personally, following her break up with her husband, Kehinde Oloyede, over alleged irreconcilable differences.
