One question which a lot of people are seeking an answer to is if D’banj is sending an indirect message.

D’banj, whose music career has been on a nosedive mode despite a new album titled ‘King Don Come’, has taken to sing-praising drug lords existing both in films and reality.

In 2012,  , was quick to jump on a song by rapper Naeto C titled ’Tony Montana’.

The song was in honour of a fictional character and the main protagonist of the 1983 film ‘Scarface’.

In the video of the song, the duo showed wealth, power and influence, a theme which D’banj has once again re-enacted in ‘El Chapo’, a new song which depicts the power a drug lord holds.

‘El Chapo’ features the duo of Wande Coal and Gucci Mane.

D’banj also known as the Kokomaster or Bangalee, was born in June 9, 1980 in Zaria, the northern part of Nigeria to a military father and devout, business woman mother, from Ogun State, Nigeria, to a military officer who commanded an artillery regiment and a church dignitary mother who hailed from Shagamu in Ogun State.
