Children remember their deceased parent with prayers and colourful parties.
When the personality involved is late Simbiat Abiola, wife of late Moshood Abiola and a onetime Otun Iyalode Egba, such a party is expected to be colourful one.
A mere mention of such a plan and individuals of worth would rally round to see the course fulfilled to the later.
However, this was not what late Simbiat Abiola got when her children Deji, Agbo, Bolaji and Wuraola remembered her 25 years after her demise.
Contrary to the expectations of many that a carnival–like party would be thrown to remember the woman, nothing of such took place, as her children simply opted to place an advertorial in a newspaper to honour her.
Many hold the opinion that such a remembrance was inadequate for a mother who died at the age of 54, after losing her battle with cancer.
