Segun Oniru, the first son of Oba Idowu Oniru has been quiet for a while now.
Since he was sidestepped from active politics as the Lagos State Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development in the government of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, the man has just been cooling off.
Occasionally, he steps out for one classy cultural programme or the other, but can hardly be considered a force in the social circle despite his affluence.
Like the proverbial one eyed man, Oniru enjoys himself with his cronies whenever he wants to, as his friends still come around him when he has something to do.
It was on this premise that some of the man’s friends including Fuji Czar, King Wasiu Ayinde; the Akinsiku of Lagos, Adebola Dosunmu; and several others gathered to celebrate with him at Ilashe Beach, Lagos state as he celebrated his 53rd birthday.
