The remains of 13 year-old rape victim, Ochanya Elizabeth Ogbanje has been buried amidst tears.
Ochanya, died from VVF complications after being severally raped for years by her aunt’s husband, Andrew Ogbuja, 61, and his son, Victor Ogbuja.
The deceased was laid to rest on Friday, November 2, at Ogene-Amejo Vilage in Okpokwu Local Government of Benue State, as members of her family and community cried.
Andrew Ogbuja, a lecturer at the Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, and his son, Victor, allegedly began molesting Ochanya since she was 8. They allegedly had vaginal and anal sex with her and this caused her to develop Vesicovagina Fistula (VVF). Ogbuja has since been remanded in prison pending hearing on the matter in court on November 29, 2018.
