Embattled and suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, has finally heeded the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) with his presence.
Onnoghen arrived the CCT for his arraignment over allegations of non-declaration of assets.
He arrived in a convoy of not less than five vehicles at 9:40 am on Friday, February 15, before proceedings began.
The Danladi Umar-led CCT had on Wednesday ordered the Inspector General of Police (IG) and the Director General of the Department of State Security (DSS), to arrest Onnoghen and ensure that he is present for trial on Friday.
The suspended CJN was said to have avoided arrest by reaching an agreement with security operatives to voluntarily show up for proceedings.
