Yakubu Mahmood, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ), has revealed that the commission is ready for the Saturday election.
According to Mahmood, the commission is fully prepared for this Saturday, February 23rd and March 9th elections.
Speaking at a press conference, Mahmood said that the deployment of voting materials to the 774 Local Government areas of the country was completed on Thursday February 21st.
Mahmood also added that the commission had completed the configuration of the Smart Card Readers (SCRs) which will be used for the accreditation of voters during the elections.
The elections was postponed last Saturday, February 16th due to logistics.
