Despite meeting the likes of Genevieve Nnaji and Nse Etim Ikpe on set, up and coming star, Cynthia Godwin has revealed that it was Mercy Johnson who had the greatest influence on her career as a beginner.
According to the actress whose real name is Okoronkwo Cynthia Chiamaka, growing to where she is today wasn’t an easy task, as she had to face the challenge of being camera shy.
Speaking on her debut work, she said: “I was very nervous. I was very nervous when I saw most of my favourite actors on set. I am talking of people like Chiwetalu Agu, Angela Okorie, Chinyere Winfred among others.”
Though Cynthia loves the duo of Genevieve Nnaji and Nse Etim Ikpe, she said that it was Mercy Johnson who had a great influence on her as far as the movie industry goes.
“I’ve met Genevieve once on set. That was when I did a movie with Magic Movie. I’ve met Nse Etim Ikpe. I love Nse. My early influence as far as the movie industry goes was Mercy Johnson. I love Mercy.”
The beauty who has since gone on to shoot several movies including War Against Men, College Girls Reloaded, Escape, Down The River, JaJa the Great and many more revealed that she is very passionate about acting and can go really far to interpret a role.
