News Yahaya Bello, PDP Condoles With Dino Melaye Over Mother’s Death Published 6 years ago on May 4, 2019 By The Octopus News Admin Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has commiserated with Senator Dino Melaye, over the death of his mother, Comfort. In a statement released on Friday, May 3, and signed by the governor’s spokesman, Onogwu Muhammed, Bello said he received the news with ‘rude shock’, describing the loss as heavy on not just the state but the country. Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello This comes as a shocks as Melaye and Bello have not been in good terms since the governor assumed office in 2016. “Words are insufficient to condole one on a mother’s death, but I do urge you to take solace in the life that she lived,” the statement read. Further, the statement said “I have no doubt that mama’s impact and reach will continue to be felt through her offspring. “On behalf of the great people of Kogi, my family and myself, I offer you our deep condolences,” the statement end. Meanwhile, the People Democratic Party (PDP), has also condoled with Senator Melaye. A statement by the party’s spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the party was grieved by the loss.
