For Lagos monarch, Oba Abiodun Oniru, the journey to his final resting place began days back.
Programme of events for the burial of the late monarch who died on Monday, September 23, kicked off on Wednesday, September 25.
Islamic prayers were said for the repose of the soul of the dead at the Oniru Palace, while a service of songs for Christians followed the following day.
A seven-day prayer for the deceased took place on Sunday, September 29, while the 14 days prayer held on Sunday, October 6.
Oba Oniru’s 40 days prayer is expected to hold on Friday, November 1, as anticipation on the party, to celebrate his final burial heightens.
