The angel of death has a way of taking away good men and women.
In their peak, it wakes them at times from their slumber leaving wailing, sorrow, and tears.
This is what has happened to Yinka Mafe, described as a gentle and amiable man.
Gradually but surely getting to the peak of his career, Mafe, the immediate past majority leader of Ogun State House of Assembly died barely hours after celebrating his 45th birthday in style at Tenth Planet & Suites in Sagamu, Ogun State on Tuesday, February 4th.
Prior to the main celebration, he had organised a prayer session at his country home in Emuren, while he also visited inmates and warders at the Nigeria Correctional Centre, Sagamu, Ogun State.
Rumoured to have been advised by his doctor to shift his celebration to enable him to find time to rest, there are now speculations that fatigue could have cost him his life.
Born February 4th, 1974, Mafe’s political career started when he was elected the Councilor of Ward three in Sagamu Local Government Legislative Council in December 1998, a term which ended in 2002.
