An unusual death in Kano State has caused panic in the state amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the last 24 hours, 13 prominent people including professors, a newspaper editor, and other professionals are reported to have died in the state.
The Nation Newspaper, reports that some prominent people who died in the state within Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26 include:
1. Prof Ibrahim Ayagi
2. Dr. Musa Umar Gwarzo
3. Alhaji Dahiru Rabiu (former Grand Khadi)
4. Musa Tijjani (Editor of Triumph Newspaper)
5. Adamu Isyaku Dal, who was a former Executive Secretary of the State Universal Basic Education Board
6. Alhaji Salisu Lado
7. Hajiya Shamsiyya Mustapha
8. Hajiyaj Nene Umma
9. Alhaji Garba Sarki Fagge
10. Dr. Nasiru Maikano Bichi, Secretary Student Affairs, northwest university

12. Ado Gwanja’s mother
13. Professor Balarabe Maikaba, a senior lecturer of mass communication at the Bayero University, Kano.
Several people in the state are reported to have died from unexplained causes.
