Babagana Mongunu, the National Security Adviser (NSA) to Nigeria has revealed President Muhammadu Buhari’s plan on the nation’s security apparatus.
Mongunu spoke on Tuesday, August 4, after a high-profile meeting with President Buhari.
Speaking with journalists, he revealed that the President had resolved to embark on an over-hauling of the nation’s security apparatus.
According to the NSA, the president said that the efforts of the service chiefs are not matching up to expectations, adding that he is all-out to restore the lost confidence of Nigerians in the security sector.
Further, Monguno said that the minister of defence, Bashir Magashi, is already on the issue and will give new directives from the presidency to all security agencies in no time.
