The government of President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that it is making efforts to resolve the suspension of the issuance of the United States of America’s (USA) immigrant visas to Nigerian passport holders.
This was revealed by President president’s special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina.
Recall that the US Embassy had in January suspend the issuance of visas that could lead to permanent residency for nationals of Nigeria among other countries.
On Thursday, August 13, President Buhari assured Nigerians that the issues with the United States will be addressed.
He expressed delight that two out of the six areas of concern raised by the United States had been fully addressed.
President Buhari was said to have given the assurance when the committee on citizen data management and harmonisation chaired by the minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola paid him a visit in Abuja.
