The duo of the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Catriona Laing, had a meeting on Wednesday, October 14.
Described as a Mutual Convergence meet, a brief statement posted on the official Twitter page of the UK Embassy, said that the duo had a “wide-ranging discussion on key issues of mutual convergence in Nigeria”.
The British High Commissioner had earlier tweeted that she was first visiting Lagos again since the Covid-19 lockdown.
Prior to the meeting with Asiwaju Tinubu, Laing had visited the UK-supported Joint Border Task Force HQ in Ikeja to learn more about how UK mentors are continuing to support agencies like the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) to tackle serious and organised crime in Nigeria.
