President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked the Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Dr. Nasiru Mohammed Ladan Argungu.
Dr. Argungu was sacked via a memo issued on Friday, December 4, with the sack to take effect from Monday, December 7.
He will thus be replaced by an Acting Director-General from the senior directors of the agency.
This is coming days after President Muhammadu Buhari approved the appointment of Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim as the new Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
Sulaiman-Ibrahim’s appointment was announced in a statement issued by presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu on Tuesday, December 1.
The new Director-General of NAPTIP holds a BSc (Sociology), Masters of Arts (Management), and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, and hails from Nasarawa State.
