An elder statesman from the southeast zone, Sam Ohuabunwa, has revealed what will bring an end to the agitation for Biafra.
Ohuabunwa said that the agitation will become a thing of the past if an Igbo man is elected as president.
He made this known in a statement released in Abuja on Wednesday, January 20, at the inauguration of the New Nigeria Group (NNG).
The former chairman of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), urged Nigerians to support power shift to the southeast region.
He said: “Every Nigerian who wants unity must support the power shift. Igbo presidency will stop Biafra agitation which asks for equity, fairness, and freedom. Even other agitation will stop.”
Ohuabunwa disclosed that he intends to contest for the office of the president of Nigeria in 2023, saying that exemplary leadership will enable Nigeria to compete favourably with other developed nations.
