News APC Celebrates As Opposition Member Defect To Party Published 4 years ago on February 23, 2021 By The Octopus News Admin Honourable Peter Makinde has defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC). Makinde, a member of the Ondo State House of Representatives defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). In his letter of defection read to members at the plenary on Tuesday by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, he blamed the defection on the alleged division in the ADC. He was welcomed to the APC by the Speaker of the House of Representative, Gbajabiamila who was quoted to have said: “You’re welcome to the progressive party,” Gbajabiamila said after reading the letter.
