Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has revealed his experience from being vaccinated with the first dose of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.
Osinbajo who received the vaccine on Saturday, March 6, said he did not feel any pinch while being vaccinated against coronavirus.
He stated this in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Laolu Akande.
The statement partly read: “The thing was not painful at all. I didn’t even feel the pinch.”
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has urged all eligible Nigerians to take the COVID-19 vaccine in order to protect themselves from contracting the virus.
The president gave the advice on Saturday, March 6, shortly after he received the first dose of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine, a presidential aide, Garba Shehu disclosed in a statement.
Buhari asked all state governments, traditional and religious leaders to mobilise people in their jurisdictions to get vaccinated.
The federal government hopes to vaccinate over 70% of Nigeria’s population in 2021 and 2022.
