A flight ban imposed on Nigerian travellers by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has been lifted.
The lifting of the ban takes effect from Thursday, August 5. This comes five months after the ban was imposed over Covid-19 protocols.
Emirates announced on its website that the UAE authorities have announced that effective 5 August 2021, eligible travellers from Nigeria and 10 other countries will be allowed to travel to and through the UAE.
The countries are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Vietnam, South Africa, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
Emirates said in the notice: “We will publish details of the latest protocols and requirements on our travel requirements page, as soon as these are available.”
