Nigerian rapper, MohBad, is dead. The circumstances behind is death are however unknown.
The artiste who is known for hit songs such as “Peace”, “Feel Good” “Ponmo”, and “KPK” (Ko Por Ke) with Rexxie reportedly died in the early hours of today, Tuesday, September 12.
Real name Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, MohBad died at the age of 27.
YBNL Music Executive and singer, Olamide confirmed Mohbad’s death via his X handle.
He posted with a caption alongside a heartbreaking emoji: “Damn ! Mohbad”
“Confirmed. Mohbad is dead. Sad, sad day,” Not Just Ok boss, Ovie Ofugara wrote on his X account, sharing a broken heart emoji alongside the tweet, as he also confirmed the songwriter’s death.
However, details of his death are still sketchy as of the time of this report.
Born on June 6, 1998, Mohbad had in the past reportedly wanted to commit suicide, according to his colleague Akinbiyi Abiola better known as Bella Shmurda.
Once signed to Naira Marley’s “Marlian Records”, he left the label in 2022, after claiming that he was assault by Naira Marley and his team. He also accused the label of refusing to pay him his royalties.
In November 2022, he dropped a single titled “Tiff”, where he dissed Naira Marley and further explained what went down while he was at the label.
