Defamation: Iyabo Ojo Threatens To Slam N1bn Lawsuit On Lizzy Anjorin

Thespian, Iyabo Ojo has threatened to sue fellow actress, Lizzy Anjorin. over some defamatory video publications.

The actress, made the threat via her Instagram page, posting copies of a letter written to Anjorin through her lawyers, Bimpe Ajegbomogun and co.

According to the letter, Anjorin has been posting ‘’vile and denigrating” video contents on her page and the videos were directed at Iyabo.

Iyabo’s lawyers said Anjorin, via her comment section, agreed with her followers who said her defamatory posts were directed at Iyabo. The lawyers also said in the letter that the Madam Kofo producer failed to deny the facts that the derogatory contents were directed at Ojo.

The lawyers said that Ojo called Anjorin out on Instagram recently, asking her to mention her name as the person she refers to as ‘’Sepereti’ in her defamatory posts. The lawyers said, surprisingly, Anjorin came out minutes after and said she will not mention their client’s name but will continue to refer to her as ‘’Sepeteri’. The lawyers argued that Anjorin’s reaction was an open and uncontentious way of alluding and affirming that she was referring to Ojo.

The lawyers also claim that Anjorin, via her contents, alleged that Ojo has, among other things, been involved in a threesome with her daughter; that Iyabo and her man killed Mohbad; that her man is an ex-convict who was sexually abused while in prison; that Ojo is a prostitute and that she is dating singer Naira Marley.

The lawyers demanded, among other things, that Anjorin publishes an apology on four national newspapers and that she also tenders an apology on her Facebook and Instagram page. The lawyers also demanded that Anjorin pays the sum N500 million as damages to Ojo.

They stated that failure to do these in fourteen days, will leave them with no choice but to file a N1 billion lawsuit against Anjorin.
