Amidst the call for the sequel of Jadesola Osiberu and Kemi Lala Akindoju’s very successful movie, ‘Gangs of Lagos’, one of the lead actresses in the movie, Adesua Etomi-Wellington has revealed that she shot the flick barely five months after giving birth.
Speaking in an interview, the highly talented actress reflected on the period she shot the movie which went on to become a blockbuster in the history of the Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood.
Etomi-Wellington revealed that she was breastfeeding her baby while in the location, shooting ‘Gangs Of Lagos’ and had to take breaks to extract milk to feed her son, Hazaiah Wellington.
Also, she appreciated her colleagues on the set who she revealed understood her situation and gave her all the needed time she wanted to attend to her son.
Etomi-Wellington played the role of ‘Gift’ in ‘Gangs Of Lagos’, a Nigerian gangster crime thriller film starring Tobi Bakre, Adesua Etomi, Iyabo Ojo, Demi Banwo, Chioma Akpotha, Damilola Ogunsi, Tayo Faniran, Zlatan Ibile, Bimbo Ademoye, Toyin Abraham, Yvonne Jegede, Yinka Quadri, Chike, Pasuma and a host of others.
The film premiered on Amazon Prime Video on April 7, 2023, making history as the first Amazon Original Movie from Africa.
