A Federal High Court in Lagos has fixed April 9, to deliver judgement on a four count charge of Naira Abuse brought against cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye popular as Bobrisky.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court made the declaration after the cross-dresser was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The judge also ordered that Bobrisky should be returned to EFCCs custody pending the judgment.
Bobrisky had earlier pleaded guilty to the four charges of Naira Abuse. The court kicked out the fifth and sixth charges bordering on money laundering.
Meanwhile, while being arraigned before Justice Awogboro, Bobrisky pleaded with the court to tamper justice with mercy as he was not aware of the law on abusing the Naira.
He promised to use his platform to educate Nigerians on the ills of abusing the Naira.
“My lord I wish that you can give me a second chance to use my platform to inform and educate my followers about spraying money.
“I’m a social media influencer with over five million followers. I would do a video on my page and I will educate people about spraying money. I will not repeat it again my lord, I regret my actions, my lord”.
The judge then told him that ignorance of the law is not an excuse to which Bobrisky replied,” I know my lord.”
