EFCC Operative Dies In Abuja

An operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has allegedly taken his life.
The operative reportedly took his life at his residence in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, on Monday, July 1.
Until his death, the deceased was a member of Course 5. He was described as a diligent, efficient, and unassuming operative.
The commission is exploring possible factors including mental health and family challenges, that may have contributed to the operative’s tragic decision.
EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale was quoted as saying that an investigation was currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the suicide.
Meanwhile, the EFCC has not released the operative’s name. However, it said that more details will be provided as “more pieces of information become available.”
