Access Bank’s outgoing Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aigboje Aig- Imoukhuede has eventually taking a bow.
Yes; this is a fact. Aigboje Aig- Imoukhuede’s sent forth party held on Saturday, December 14, at Eko Hotel and Suit, Victoria Island, Lagos, and it also served as the end of year soiree for the bank’s staff and, a Christmas bash too.
The high point of the event was how the award-winning songstress Carey was flown into Nigeria in a private jet. Carey; arrived via a jet which taxied into a private hangar in Ikeja, Lagos, before the lady dressed in a bright yellow dress with matching shoes stepped out.
The lady; who was coming into the country for the first time entertained at the event. Needless to say she stormed Lagos in the afternoon for the show and left the country later that night.
While Aigboje Aig- Imoukhuede was the boss he was plagued by controversies such imposing his successor, Herbert Wigwe, there were also other controversies bothering on safety of customers money due to a high fraud rate at the bank.
The allegation of serial violation of stipulated customer lending rules and regulations to undermine the interest of its shareholders funds to serious risks was what led to the sacking of Cosmas Maduka, the Managing Director of Coscharis Group from the bank’s board, after the Managing Director, Capital Oil and Gas Limited, Ifeanyi Uba, revealed that he facilitated a N34.4 billion from Access Bank to finance the importation of petroleum products into the country.
