Femi Kuti’s bassist, Aghedo Andrew, might just have told him that Afrobeat is not enough to hold him down.
The bassist was on tour with Femi Kuti, but absconded with just 20 minutes to the commencement of their performance in New York.
According to Femi Kuti, “Andrew was suddenly nowhere to be found just 20 minutes before we got on stage at the XPN Music Festival in New York.”
Femi Kuti said that but for the remainder of his ‘The Positive Force Band’, the incident could have ruined his performance.
