Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala
It has been mixed feelings that have trailed Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, since his statement that any one who says he bleached his skin is stupid.
These reactions; are coming following an interview which the erstwhile Governor of Oyo State granted www.punchng in which he angrily denied that he had ever bleached his skin when asked if it was part of his own fashion.
During the interview; Akala was quoted as having retorted the word Bleach then continued by saying “you are asking a very stupid question, how can I bleach? You are very stupid to ask that question. What do you mean by that? What gave you that impression.”
To buttress his point the ex-governor was said to have pulled up his clothe and singlet to show his fair complexion, as he asked is this bleaching? Have you seen the cream that I use that makes me bleach or did you know me when I was black? Is my wife complaining or my children? I don’t know what gave anybody the impression that I bleach. You don’t know me; do you know what it takes to bleach, Akala is quoted to have said.
However, amid the drama and Akala’s comments most people who have reacted to the story are saying the ex-police officer’s comments were white lies, as even a blind man would know the true complexion of the former governor.
Tell tale signs that are synonymous with people who bleach are present on Akala, especially when a good look is taking at his knuckle and this has left a lot of people with the general conclusion that he is using a cream to enchance the colour of his skin.
