The 2013 Notting Hill Carnival might have come and gone, but the aftermath and consequences of the event remains.
One of such consequence, is the dent that the near nude carnival performance of Honey B, one of K1 D Ultimate’s daughters has left on her image.
Known as an up and coning artiste, Honey B, sometimes 2012, had stormed Nigeria, from her base in the United Kingdom (UK), hoping to launch her career as an artiste on the successful platform and pedigree of her father and his manager, Percy Ademokun.
However, the format adopted to kick start Honey B’s career fail woefully.
Perhaps in a bid to redeem a career that failed even before it started, Honey B took to the stage to entertain guests located at the Nigerian corner of the 2013 carnival, and yes they were entertained, at least if not musically by the free show and display of some essence that every responsible and well bred lady would seek to keep private.
Described as a very interesting and captivating show, the musicians display left very little to be imagined, as guests at the event had a full and free share of the national cake all by the glaring.
Some guests were so engroused in staring at the display of semi nudity than the music which the lady hoped to dish out to them.
Be that as it may, the after effect of the display at the carnival has however left more than just an indentation on the image of Honey B, as mixed reaction is what is said to be trailing the lady, since the carnival ended.
Comments posted on www.lindaikejiblogspot.com about the singer include words that were unprintable. However, www.theoctopusnews.com presents some of the mild comment, as very few people would be able to stomach the full and unedited comments if we decide to publish them verbatim.
An anonymous writer is quoted as say “like father like daughter, she is not even a bit sexy my aged grandma is more attractive than she is”. As if that is not bad enough, yet another anonymous write commented thus, “Linda, K1 should caution this girl, or else she will spoil the name that he has built before she was even born.”
Yomi Arowojobe wrote “why would a lady dress this way, when you are not doing evil but tempt others to do so with your dressings and actions, you must surely give account of it. Repent because the end is near, Jesus is coming soon.”
Iyabo also wrote “Disgracing womanhood. It is her life and she alone determines what to do with it.”
Ejike comments went thus, “If it were Tonto Dikeh you people would have killed her with your bad mouth”, while Wasiu Olatunji wrote “thank God your father will see this as well and won’t preach rubbish for us again.”
As it is presently, the question most people are asking is if as an up and coming artiste Honey B, can go this length to captivate her fans what will she not do to blow as an artiste.
