There is always the end of a good run, no matter how long it takes.
For the President of the African Developmental Bank (AfDB), Akinwunmi Adesina, it appears he has reached his.
Once described as the gentleman who could take the bank to a great height, those accolades have all faded with claims of wrongdoing now trailing him.
Adesina has been accused of 20 breaches of the bank’s code of conduct, including unethical conduct, private gain, an impediment to efficiency, preferential treatment, and involvement in political activities.
Initially cleared of all offenses, Adesina who is set to face a fresh probe might just be seeing his last days as the head of the bank.
