Announcing the singer’s exit from the label via an Instagram on Thursday, May 2, Don Jazzy wrote:
“Our darling Tiwatope. We at Mavin would like to say a very big thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us, a friend, a sister. It’s been an epic journey with you and we are very proud of what we have achieved together.
“As you start this new chapter in your life we want you to know that we are solidly behind you and can’t wait for the world to see what we have always believed you can be. Your jersey as the First Lady of Mavin will forever be yours as we do not intend to fill that position with anyone else. We love you from the bottom of heart and pray GOD’s blessings continue to follow you. Amennnn. #Mavin @tiwasavage,” he wrote.
Tiwa Savage might just have prompted Don Jazzy’s statement, as earlier in the day, the singer shared a picture of herself with the chairman and CEO of Universal Music Group, Sir Lucian Grainge, perhaps indirectly announcing her new moves.

Recall that it was a similar development that saw Don Jazzy part ways with D’banj several years ago.
Both promoters of the now defunct Mo’hit Records, the duo of Don Jazzy and D’banj went their separate ways when Don Jazzy could not discourage D’banj from signing an international record deal with Kanye West’s Good Music.
Tiwa Savage makes her exit from the label where she released two album Once Upon A Time and R.E.D.
She follows in the path of Reekado Banks who parted ways with the label to launch his Banks Music in December 2018.
Indeed, it is all over especially between Tiwa Savage and Mavin Records.
