Former Abia State governor, Orji Kalu, has emerged tops in a list of All Progressive Congress (APC), chieftains to be prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This was recently disclosed by the chairman of the antigraft agency, Abdulrasheed Bawa.
Bawa vowed that the commission will prosecute the former governor all over again.
The EFCC boss made the disclosure when he spoke with the press in Abuja on Thursday, June 17, adding that the EFCC had not forgotten about the Uzor Kalu case.
Recall that Kalu who is now a serving senator was set free by the Supreme Court on technicalities after being convicted of stealing billions of Naira when he was Abia State governor between 1999-2007.
Without addressing the substance of the case, the Supreme Court ruled that the trial judge that found him guilty had been elevated to the appeal court and should not have ruled on the matter.
