Newly elected President of America, Joe Biden, has addressed Americans following his victory at the polls.
Biden won the election ahead of the incumbent President Donald Trump.
Biden, the Democratic Presidential candidate won the election with a total Electoral College vote of 273 against Donald Trump’s 214.
The winning vote came after he claimed Pennsylvania’s 20 college votes in the early hours of Saturday, November 7.
With counting of votes still on, Biden is still leading in Navada, Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina.
Addressing Americans in general via Twitter and through his handle @JoeBiden, he said, he was honoured to have been chosen to lead the country.
Biden said,
“I am honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.
“The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans-whether you voted for me or not.
“I will keep the faith that you have placed in me.”
