The inability of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to get to polling centers on time might have cause delay in the commencement of the Anambra gubernatorial election.
According to feedback from the state, voter had arrived the pooling centers as early as 8:30 to perform their civic responsibility but could not find INEC officials on ground.
It is typical to find challenges of this nature during elections, as INEC tried to move its officials and ad-hoc staff to their various locations.
The movement of polling materials to centers is also known to delay the kickoff of election.
