In recent times, Bayelsa State Governor, Seriake Dickson has had reasons to celebrate. However, the man has opted not to.
For one, many had expected that the arrival of his quadruplet with wife Rachael would attract a carnival-like celebration.
However, it wasn’t to be, as what ensued was below expectation. While he never came out to confirm his decision to keep low profile many had speculated that the man’s action must have been tied to the case in court contesting his election.
Dickson can now celebrate, as his election has been declared valid at the country’s highest court.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday, November 8, declared Dickson as the validly elected Governor of Bayelsa State.
The seven-member panel of judges led by Justice Tanko Muhammad gave the ruling following an appeal brought before it by the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate in the December 5, 2015 election, Timipre Sylva. A detailed judgment will be delivered on November 18.
Now that Dickson’s mind is at rest, he can now celebrate all the positive achievements that have come his way in recent times.
