Former Vice President of Nigeria, Abubakar Atiku, has emerged as the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Atiku became the party’s representative in a primary that saw him polling 371 votes to defeat his closest rival Gov. Nyesom Wike of River State.
Wike polled 233 votes coming second after Atiku.
Recall that Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal had earlier dropped his presidential ambition and asked his supporters to vote for Abubakar.
