The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has started releasing result of the 2023 presidential election.
According to results shared by INEC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is in the lead with the number of votes.
Eight States of the federation have been officially announced by INEC namely, Katsina, Yobe, Gombe, Ogun, Lagos, Kwara, Osun and Ondo States.
And of the eight states, APC’s candidate has won in only three of them; Kwara, Ogun and Ondo while the PDP’s candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has taken four states.
Atiku has won Katsina, Osun, Gombe and Yobe states, amassing the most number of states, however, APC still has the highest number of votes.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate has won Lagos State.
