Founder and Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo has been granted administrative bail by the Nigerian Police.
This follows hours of interrogation and subsequent detention by the police at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja.
Fatoyinbo had been trailed by allegations of rape from various alleged victims chief of which is Busola Dakolo.
Having surrendered himself to the police yesterday, Fatoyinbo was grilled from afternoon till late night.
“He is still with us, but I can’t say if he would be released tonight. It depends on if he meets the bail conditions that would be given to him, but he has been granted administrative bail,” Frank Mba, the police force spokesperson said at about 9.40 pm.
According to reports, Fatoyinbo was not the only one interrogated, two witnesses: Mr. Wole Soetan, pastor of COZA Port Harcourt branch; and Mr. Folarin Ogunsola, who is in charge of COZA Lagos branch, were also grilled by the police detectives.
Mba also disclosed that many witnesses had been questioned in relation to the case, adding that the investigation had progressed and would soon be concluded.
