What is now a merger of sort between Adebayo Alao-Akala and Rashidi Ladoja is the handiwork of a meeting between two ex-governors of Oyo State that has been going on for a while.
A source close to www.theoctopusnews.com revealed that Ladoja and Akala aim at making sure that the incumbent governor of the state, Abiola Ajimobi, is not returned in 2015.
Akala has now decamped to Ladoja-led Accord Party from the Peoples’ Democratic Party, (PDP).
According to our source in Ibadan, the duo met again on Monday evening over the matter. Their discussions were said to have been based on strategies to adopt in achieving their goal at the 2015 elections in the state, which they hope paves way for the ousting of Ajimobi’s Action Congress of Nigeria, (ACN), from the State House in Ibadan, the state capital.
Also, both parties met again on Monday to finalize modalities of their merger.
