Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has reinstated the suspended boss of the state’s Labour Congress, Akeem Ambali.
Ambali was suspended following plans to commence lead a strike action in the state.
Prior to the strike, Senator Amosun had warned the NLC not to go on strike, stating the state’s workers were satisfied with their pay and conditions of work.
Stating that he would disgrace the NLC, he warned the Wabba-led administration to stay away from the state, in their own interest.
“I learnt that some people are planning to stage a protest in the state, to be led by the National President of NLC, Comrade Wabba. Tell them to stay away or they will be disgraced. They are coming here to play politics, tell them that they will be disgraced,” Mr Amosun declared.
However, following the suspension of the strike, the Governor reinstated the state chairman.
