President Muhammadu Buhari has unveiled the country’s new Naira notes.
The N1,000, N500, and N200 Naira notes were recently redesigned by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The newly designed notes were unveiled on Wednesday, 23 November, 2022, in Abuja, and have since hit the internet.
The Abuja Bureau Chief of Nigerian Tribune Newspaper, Dr. Leon Usigbe, first shared images of the new designs on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday morning.
Another Twitter user also shared an image of the design, describing the design as a filter used to remint the Maira as against a totally new design.
The Official Twitter handle of the Federal Government of Nigeria has now made the official image public.

The new tender will become available for use from December 15, 2022, while the old one will cease to be accepted as a legal tender from January 31, 2023.
