The battle of the soul of Kwara politics between Bukola Saraki and his younger sister, Gbemisola, is not yet over as some people might think.
Many had believed that the death of their father, Dr. Olusola Saraki and the grief they shared during the period would heal every wound and bind the family together, but alas this has not happened.
Pointers to the fact that the duo are still at loggerhead came to the fore last month in Ilorin, Kwara State, when Bukola defected from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC). While the man abandoned the ruling party PDP, Gbemisola returned to the party, creating a battle of siblings.
Gbemisola’s action has since been described as an act of rebellion against her brother. As it is, Gbemisola, who has the support of her family, is leading them in an uprising against her brother.
