After a long period of waiting, Burna Boy has made his first entrance into the United Kingdom.
Prior to this, the rapper had been banned from entering the UK for 15 years, but later reduced to five
.
In 2015, the rapper hinted that his ban had been lifted, but nothing was confirmed.
His recent Twitter shout out to his fan that he was coming into town confirmed that indeed the ban had been lifted.
In 2013, it was reported that while in the UK, back in 2010, Burna Boy was arrested by the police for allegedly being part of a gang and stabbing someone to death. He was tried as a minor and sent to jail.
After 11 months, he was released and given two months parole plus community service on the grounds of being of ‘good behaviour’. However, Burna Boy was said to have broken the rules of his parole by travelling back to Nigeria where he launched his music career signing a record deal with Aristocrat Records.
